From 1996-2003 I supported 40,000 students and staff members at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I supported both the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) and the Main Campus Data Center (ITR).

Key Results:

  • Saved significant labor of Unix computer administrators and the Help Desk by writing productivity tools in PERL, JavaScript and HTML.
  • Fixed account problems: e-mail, security and data storage / backup issues.
  • Ran a Help Desk. Supported IBM-PC and Unix laboratory computers for staff and students.

From 1990 to 1993, I contributed at Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne with these Key Results:

  • Helped improve the accuracy and completeness of large-scale technical documents
    • Including Software Requirements Analysis and Functional Specifications (for Military Systems)
  • Increased the productivity of a team of scientists on a Classified computing laboratory.
    • Configured and ran Sun Solaris unix workstations and peripherals such as color printers.
    • Administered detailed security procedures to guard sensitive information.
