1996-2003: Operating Systems Analyst II

CSUN (California State University, Northridge)

From 1996-2003 I supported 40,000 students and staff members at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I supported both the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) and the Main Campus Data Center (ITR).

Key Results:

  • Saved significant labor of Unix computer administrators and the Help Desk by writing productivity tools in PERL, JavaScript and HTML.
  • Fixed account problems: e-mail, security and data storage / backup issues.
  • Ran a Help Desk. Supported IBM-PC and Unix laboratory computers for staff and students.
  • Sped up computer purchasing and researched large technical purchases.

  1. The talent you posses is up there. Are you looking for a job right now? Or are you just looking for extra work? Because I expect a man with talent like yours out there in the field already working, but if you’re not, I’d be glad to share this to some people. I can’t guarantee anything, but your talent should not go overlooked.

I should say, a better designed site would get you further. Have you ever thought of using a social site like LinkedIn to show your work history?
